Qualifications

Matt Donnelly has established himself as a national expert on Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) over the last several years, traveling throughout the country to consult with companies on how to set up and structure such plans for their own needs and circumstances. In the course of this he has help clients save collectively hundreds of millions of dollars, while affording them the opportunity to pass on their businesses to trusted employees.

Furthermore, as a business owner, management consultant and certified business appraiser, Matt Donnelly has been personally involved in the valuation of more than 1,300 offerings, including preparation of marketing packages. In addition he has consulted in the negotiations, purchase agreements and escrow procedures in hundreds of sale transactions. As an owner for his own account, Donnelly founded or purchased and subsequently sold more than a dozen businesses. All of these transactions over a span of more than 60 years have resulted in a deep understanding of the market value as well as the buying and selling of small and mid-sized businesses. With this experience and firsthand knowledge, he has been able to teach and consult with brokers and their agents, as well as hundreds of business buyers and sellers. He is, also, qualified as an expert witness and has appeared in numerous court and arbitration hearings.
